Restoration & Transformation Pt.2

Transformation  is the means to be changed into something new. Once we make a choice for God He can transform us into the image of Christ. Our character will change, our choices will be different. Our thoughts, emotions, and even the purpose of our lives will take on new meanings. We will become more and more like God as we behold Him through His Word and through our relationship with Him.

The Potter’s House
     One of my favorite analogies of how God changes us is the Scripture about the Potter’s House. Jer.8:1-12

     Vs.1=4
     1. The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

     2. Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

     3. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

     4. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to, make it.

   Arise:
     The first step is for us to obey God, arise, go and seek Him. He says, ‘there’  He will cause us to hear His Words. There must be a desire in us that      motivates us to do something, to reach out for Him. The Potter’s House is a place of change and transformation. We have to want to be changed
     There, at the Potter’s House, is where it will happen. It can’t happen if we just stay where you are right now.

  Depend:
     We have to yield and trust Him.  He will cause us to hear (understand) His Word. There, in a place of surrender and trust, He speaks to us.

  He Wrought a Work
     It is His work in us, not our work for Him. Only He can transform us.

  Vessels of Clay
     We do not earn or deserve His transformation. We are weak, base, and unable to help ourselves or change on our own. We are marred, but He will      make us new. Clay is soft and pliable in His hands.  In that condition He can do whatever He wants with us to mold a new life, new will, and a new           heart.

  His Voice
     In vs.7 & 9 it says, “At what instant I speak…..” When God speaks things happen. His voice is so powerful that He created the entire world by simply      speaking. How easy is it for Him to change us by just speaking?

     Ps.29 His voice upon the waters is like thunder. Rev.10:1-11 Then, in Jer.18:11 He tells us the reason for our transformation. It is His greater plan to      send us to be His voice.

  Our Voice
     God speaks through us to bring people to Christ for salvation. That is the Great Harvest that is coming. That is the next great move of God, and we           were created to let God speak through us to harvest the lost souls.

     Mk.16:15 -20
     15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

     16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

     17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they     cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

     18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

     19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

     20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

So, this is the plan and purpose of our Restoration and Transformation. This is the Purpose and the Power we are intended to have as God works in and through us to win the lost.
